About The Giving Garage

Renewed Hope, Reduced Waste, Recycled Rides

Our Story

The Giving Garage is a registered Washington nonprofit founded on a simple belief: reliable transportation changes lives. We take donated vehicles, refurbish them with the help of volunteers and partner shops, and place them with low-income working families who need a dependable car to get to work, school, and everything in between.

Vehicles that aren't the right fit for a family are sold at auction, and every dollar goes back into the mission.

Our Mission

To provide reliable transportation to low-income working families through donated vehicles, affordable repairs, and community support — while keeping usable cars out of landfills and giving them a second life.
